who
we are
In
February 2002, a group of concerned Beaver Valley residents
met in the Community Hall in Kimberley. The intent of the
meeting was to discuss the feasibility of a ratepayers group
to monitor the fast-paced changes in the Valley. This group
would represent the property owners before the Grey Highlands
Council, Grey County, and the Niagara Escapement Commission.
The
BVRA is now an established group, incorporated, and making
an impact in various ways in the Beaver Valley and adjacent
areas. We have been successful in dealing with the Grey County
Department of Transportation and Public Safety on the installation
of signs, lights, and road reroutings. We have attended Ontario
Municipal Board hearings for our members, and informed them
of the results of those hearings. Directors attend the Grey
Highlands Planning Board and Council sessions, representing
our members on various issues.
Watch
for the BVRA representation at the local festivals and fairs.
Come visit us and discuss Valley matters.
